After more than 26 years as CEO of AC Hydraulic A/S, Claus A. Christensen is now leaving his position as a member of the company's executive team. This is all part of a reorganisation initiative at AC Group A/S, where Claus A. Christensen will be taking over as Group President and focusing more extensively on strategy and growth opportunities for the five companies in the group going forward.
Head of purchasing Carsten Rødbro Jensen will be taking over from him as CEO on 1 May 2018. Carsten Rødbro Jensen is 48 years old and has been at AC Hydraulic A/S since 2001, working as head of purchasing and acting as a member of the management team for the past 13 years.
With a strong organisation behind him, Carsten Rødbro Jensen is looking forward to the new challenges. "I am really looking forward to the challenges that my new role will bring, and I am keen to get results in partnership with our talented staff. We will continue to focus on growth, market development and a good work environment. I am absolutely certain that together, we can improve AC Hydraulic's position as a strong global player in the field of lifting equipment for the automotive industry."
This is the first time in the 60-year history of the company that the CEO's seat has not been occupied by a member of the Christensen family. When asked about the appointment of the new CEO, Claus A. Christensen said, "AC Hydraulic is stronger and more effectively consolidated than ever before, so I think this is the right time to take a step back from day-to-day operations. In my opinion, Carsten is definitely the right person to implement and enhance the defined strategy, and personally I am really proud that we have been able to recruit such a talented person internally. I absolutely certain he will be able to live up to our requirements and expectations."
The reshuffle is based on a desire to reinforce the strategic focus of the group. AC Group A/S will become a key player for strategy, administration and communication for all group companies, which include Hydraflex A/S, NH Handling A/S, AC Estate A/S and AC Finans A/S as well as AC Hydraulic A/S.
As part of this reshuffle, Claus A. Christensen will be taking over as Chairman of the Board at AC Hydraulic A/S and Per Jensen has been appointed as the new head of purchasing from 1 June 2018.
